What is sustainable entrepreneurship? What role does technology play in entrepreneurship? And why should we talk more about the darker side of entrepreneurship? These questions will lead us to considering responsibility in business and challenges of the contemporary world.

Welcome to Module 6, the closing module of the Academy of Entrepreneurship.

 

KNOWLEDGE BASE

Are you able to prepare for the challenges the future will bring? What opportunities and risks will accompany it? How will technology development and emerging trends determine the direction of entrepreneurs? In the closing module of the course, together with Prof. Agnieszka Kurczewska you will look for answers to these questions.

We will raise several important areas, from sustainable entrepreneurship to the sharing economy and the dark side of entrepreneurship. Does being entrepreneurial require breaking the rules? If so, where are the ethical boundaries? Watch the lecture and find out!

 

PRACTITIONER’S PERSPECTIVE

In the last module, we host Magdalena Szmidt from the interactive agency Mosqi.to. What classes at the university initiated her adventure with responsible business? Is it possible to combine sustainability with running a business? Where is there room for ethics in entrepreneurship? How to wisely use of the opportunities that new technologies bring?  The answers are waiting for you in the video.

 

In this module, our guest is also Magdalena Kotlarczyk - Country Director Google Poland. In a conversation with Agnieszka Kurczewska, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Łódź, she will tell you how artificial intelligence can help companies, whether it is worth looking for a business unicorn and what is the potential of Polish SME companies.

How is entrepreneurship changing under the influence of sustainable development idea? How do entrepreneurs realise the SDGs? These questions will be answered by Arkadiusz Przybył - Vice President of the Management Board of Santander Bank Polska - in a conversation with Agnieszka Kurczewska, Vice Chancellor of the University of Łódź

We conclude the course with a practical assignment. Dr Agata Matuszewska-Kubicz will encourage you to reflect in the area of corporate social responsibility (CSR). Although this concept is usually associated with large corporations, smaller businesses can also operate within its framework. What opportunities in CSR do you see for yourself?
